Harvia Sauna Heater: How to Use It, and Other Questions Homeowners Ask
You bought a heater, or you are about to. Now you want to know how a Harvia sauna heater works day to day, which size fits your room, and how it compares with HUUM. This page answers those questions in plain words.
MyEliteWellness is an online retailer of home saunas and sauna heaters in the United States. We carry electric heaters and heater packages from Harvia and HUUM (22 models), plus Saunum heater packages. Below you will find what we can say with confidence, and where to look for the rest.
How to use a Harvia sauna heater: start with the manual
Every Harvia model has its own controls and its own instructions. The most reliable guide for your exact heater is the manual that comes with it. Read it before the first heat-up, and keep it close to the sauna.
We do not give model-by-model operating steps on this page, because settings, control panels and start-up routines differ from one heater to the next. We also do not list electrical requirements here. Those details belong to the product page and the manufacturer's documents for your model.
One habit helps with any electric heater: make sure the stones are set up the way the manual describes. If you need replacements or extras, you can browse our Sauna stones collection. If a question is still open after reading the manual, write to us and we will point you to the right product information.
Choosing the right heater size
Size matters as much as brand. A heater that is too small will struggle, and one that is too large is money spent for nothing. Our Learn blog has a heater sizing guide built from the specifications of 30 heaters. In it, electric heaters cover about 50 cubic feet per kW, while wood-burning stoves cover about 30.
To use that rule, measure your sauna room and work out its volume in cubic feet. Then compare it with the kW rating on the product page. For the full walkthrough, read What size sauna heater do I need?
If you are still deciding between electric and wood, our Wood burning sauna stoves collection sits alongside the electric range. If you are still choosing the sauna itself, The complete home sauna buying guide is a good place to start.
Why the 50 cubic feet per kW figure is only a starting point
It is a rule of thumb taken from specifications, not a promise for every room. Check the product page for the heater you like and the details of your own space before you order.
Comparing Harvia and HUUM electric heaters
Our Electric sauna heaters range includes 22 Harvia and HUUM models. Prices run from $1,312.22 to $4,321.11. We also offer the Saunum Air 7 Sauna Heater Package at $4,510.
Many shoppers search for a HUUM sauna heater review, a Harvia Cilindro review or the HUUM DROP 7.5. We do not publish customer ratings or reviews on this page, so we will not score any model for you. What we suggest instead: open the product page of each heater you are considering, compare the specifications side by side, and match the kW rating to your room volume.
If a model you have heard about is not on the collection page, ask us through the contact page. We can tell you what we carry and what we do not.
