How many people can fit in the Model E6?
The Model E6 comfortably seats up to 3 people on ergonomically contoured Thermo-Aspen benches. The 6'5" interior height allows most adults to stand upright.
What is Thermo-Spruce and how does it compare to cedar?
Thermo-Spruce is Nordic Spruce wood that has been heat-treated to increase durability. It lasts up to 2X longer than cedar, is chemical-free, eco-friendly, and dimensionally stable.
Can I install the Model E6 myself?
Yes. Designed for DIY installation by two people in one day. No contractor or special tools needed. Installation manual included.
What heater do I need for the Model E6?
The E6 does not include a heater. It is compatible with most wood-burning and electric sauna heaters for spaces up to 150 cubic feet. Popular options include the Harvia M3, HUUM Drop, and SaunaLife SRC.
Where should I place my barrel sauna?
Place on a firm, level surface: concrete pad, paver stones, gravel base, or reinforced deck. Ensure adequate drainage and at least 12 inches of clearance around the barrel.
How much does it cost to run?
With an electric heater, expect $1 to $3 per session. A typical 30-minute session uses about 3-6 kWh. Wood-burning heaters use approximately 10-15 lbs of firewood per session.
What maintenance is required?
Tighten barrel bands every few months, apply exterior wood treatment once or twice a year, and run the sauna at least once a month to prevent moisture buildup.
